Though I suspect that he's really more interested in getting his name in the Guinness Book of Records than he really is in the game.
Things that could happen (for our amusement)...
1. Some dodgy woman from Sky One's "RUM" pushes in on the morning of release, because "her mother's German". (Many of you probably won't have a clue what I'm on about here!)
2. The manager of the store decides to play a prank and puts "Closing Down Sale" banners up in the windows.
3. The parent company really does go under, and has to close the store.
4. He wakes up one morning and Dom Joly is outside with a banner and fanfare, proclaiming him to be "Britain's Most Famous Homeless Person".
5. Someone drugs his Horlicks one night, and while he's out they transport his tent to the Antarctic.
6. Similar to 5, but put him with the tent entrance facing a cinema screen... then play a clip (loud!) of a film with a hoooge truck heading right at the camera, for when he sticks his head out.
7. Taking a lead from the WKD adverts, surround his tent on all sides with some fake brick walls.
8. When he gets in the shop, tell him their quota of Turok has already been sold on pre-order and that he should have phoned ahead.
9. At two in the morning, play wild animal noises and brush against the tent, Blair Witch style.
10. On the last night, while he's asleep, fix the zipper so that he can't get the tent open.

Most of us are intelligent, well balanced people that play games as a hobby/amusing interraction with mates.

The gimp is only ten minutes away from my flat. I think I shall wonder over and mock him till he cries. This is exactly the sort of thing that predudices everyone against us "computer gamers".
