I opened it quickly, half expecting it, but not certain. There it was, my wavebird, imported via dvdboxoffice.com
Any sooner and i'd have probably had a go right away, but not wanting to be late, i left it for this afternoon. By the time i'd got back, and negotiated the tightly-sealed american packaging, my excitement was cooling off - it's not like a new game by a long way : )
Since then i've been testing the standards of it on super monkey ball - very nice, the layout is, of course, identical to the normal pads, for the buttons at least, and the weight is similar (possibly a fraction lighter (with batteries in)). Very nice.
The receiver was a bit bigger than i'd expected - you could plug 2 into the controller things next to each other, of course, but it juts out to the same distance as my memory card (one of the ones that are bigger than the official 56 block, coming out maybe an inch from the front of the cube.
The height - well, the top of the receiver is at the same level as the top of the cube.
And yes, i did try using it on the toilet (through 2 doors) - playing level 1 (beginner) smb, and it works
: )
If only I could afford one at the moment :@
Oh yeah, best wash that controller before you next use it ;)
