I opened it quickly, half expecting it, but not certain. There it was, my wavebird, imported via dvdboxoffice.com
Any sooner and i'd have probably had a go right away, but not wanting to be late, i left it for this afternoon. By the time i'd got back, and negotiated the tightly-sealed american packaging, my excitement was cooling off - it's not like a new game by a long way : )
Since then i've been testing the standards of it on super monkey ball - very nice, the layout is, of course, identical to the normal pads, for the buttons at least, and the weight is similar (possibly a fraction lighter (with batteries in)). Very nice.
The receiver was a bit bigger than i'd expected - you could plug 2 into the controller things next to each other, of course, but it juts out to the same distance as my memory card (one of the ones that are bigger than the official 56 block, coming out maybe an inch from the front of the cube.
The height - well, the top of the receiver is at the same level as the top of the cube.
And yes, i did try using it on the toilet (through 2 doors) - playing level 1 (beginner) smb, and it works
: )
I was lying in my bed when i heard a knock at the door. I kinda knew it was my wavebird as i got a confirmation of shipping last week. But just could not be bothered to get out of bed...lucky for me my mum answered the door :)
about 4 hours later :) I opened it up and sure enough, it was the same damn packaging as the normal controllers. I hate this bloody moulded plastic packaging. Its a complete b!tch to open! How in gods name could a little kid get through this stuff?! Not like the good old card-board from the N64 days...I just bloody left it...Still aint opened it now. Just sitting here next to me, safe in its packaging.
I'll open it when i feel the urge to play on my GameCube somtime in the near future...
(Ps, Dr.duck, where had your parcel come from? mine was from Suede, Malmo or somthin weird...)
Cheers :)

Pint were did u order urs from? Goblinor Dvdboxoffice.
Can't you easily swap the wavelength while playing a game against your mate and make them loose?
I like the rumble function on my official controller...
I can't afford to keep putting new batteries in, it must be something like new batteries for every 10 hours of play?
