What is your favourite gun from any film.

I'll get a few of the obvious ones out of the way:

The minigun from predator/the matrix
The gattling cannon from the Jackal
The sentry guns from Aliens
The heat seeking rocket gun from Runaway
The Golden Gun

Any more you can think of?

How about the Rail-Gun in Eraser, that's definately one of the biggest and best guns in the movies.
Cool X-ray sighting and powerful magnetic shot thingy (and Arnie looks really cool when he's holding two of them).

I'm a little worried by some people's vast knowledge of automatic firearms in this topic!

I like Dirty Harry's kick-ass gun, plus I recently bought this anime film called 'Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade', and in it are some cool looking soldiers who look a bit like the flamethrower troops from Return to Castle Wolfenstein. They have some REALLY mean big guns that they use to dish out some justice to some evil terrorists.

And Arnies machine gun in the last 30 minutes of Commando is pretty cool, when he takes out the entire baddie army with that huge gun that's meant to be mounted on a battleship.

Arnie in Terminator 2, with the mini-gun that is... forgot to mention the movie!

Does the big laser cannon thing in the Death Star count as a gun?

Apart from that, the mini-gun thing that Arnie uses when he is in that building taking out all the cop cars and stuff (though without injuring any cops).

In computer games, the Redeemer in Unreal Tournament Ownz you all! Perhaps only to be beaten by the satellite based Ion Cannon in the upcoming Unreal Tournament 2003.

Best Real weapon in a film, I'd say the M4 Carbine with Acog Trijicon Scope from Black Hawk Down. Less beefy than the M16 and M4A1, and it looks pretty cool as well

I'd also say Duel Berettas look great in any action film, especially ones directed by John Woo. He makes holding big sub-machine guns look soft, instead opting for two, lighter weapons, which are just as capable of causing lots of damage.

The magically appearing Uzi from Dogma. It lead to great lines.

"Count the shells, suckaduck!"
"I wasn't gonna touch him, I was gonna shoot his arrs."
"Holy Bartender, I get it, it's the greatest!"

All by Jay, interestingly enough.
