Jive, top speed is just for fun, you have to keep an eye on your speedometer to get your top speed. Best place to try for a top speed is after first bend on Tokyo R245 II track (it is the longest straight and is downhill!)

So there you go then. It tells you average speed around each sector there :) Well it did on GT3 :)
