This has been bugging me for a while now, but why are Pro Evo free kicks impossible to score. The only way seems to be to amke it so the keeper deflects it onto the post and it goes in - and that's pure luck. Come on, free kicks aren't meant to be that hard! In fact, i seem to find passing to one of my men on the wall and then quickly turning is the easier option - and that hardly works either. They better sort these out on PES2. On ISS Pro Evo 2 free kicks were fun goal-scoring opportunities - now they're aggravating moments which just give the defence more time.

There by far the hardest free kicks to score in any ISS/Pro Evo game to come out for sure, but there still very possible to score, you just have to find the right way for you to score...not to mention the best player for you.

Maybe predictable but the best player for me is Becks, got him in my master league team and he curls the ball better than many on the game. Best time i find to have a go at scoring is around 30-25 yards from the net, anything further away you need some real luck on your side and anything closer you have to be spot on with the power and direction of the ball. Best thing to do is get the ball in a direction so you can just hit it straight into the gap and add a little curl onto the ball. For me it works, i always either hit the bar, cause the keeper to make an excellent save or score anyway...still bloody hard though.

Pro Evo 2 not far off though, should be much better in that.

Ah, I remember my first free kick goal - by Beckham, of course.
I'm not quite as good at them now, but my corner kicks are still class.

The way to do it is tap square twice when hitting a free-kick. One tap for power, and one for accuracy. That is the way it's meant to be done.

I can score them a lot in training mode, but in a real match I've only ever scored one.

It was with Chilavert in my Master League. He got 7 goals that season. 6 from penalties. :D

Yeah, ive only ever scored one free kick on PES, that was with Zidane. I normally pelt the ball along the ground and the keeper tips it around the post, so at least i can get a corner out of it.

I scored a brill one. I was near halfway line on the left wing. Beckham hit it. It was curling towards goal, hit the bar and went in. Might send it to PSW. :D

I find it quite easy to score from Free-Kicks on Pro Evo. The best ones i say, is when it just goes over the wall and into that side Top corner.

Practise them on Practise mode. Soon you will find it easier...
