"PES Free kicks"

This has been bugging me for a while now, but why are Pro Evo free kicks impossible to score. The only way seems to be to amke it so the keeper deflects it onto the post and it goes in - and that's pure luck. Come on, free kicks aren't meant to be that hard! In fact, i seem to find passing to one of my men on the wall and then quickly turning is the easier option - and that hardly works either. They better sort these out on PES2. On ISS Pro Evo 2 free kicks were fun goal-scoring opportunities - now they're aggravating moments which just give the defence more time.

Just thought looking at your post Ortega, what if you put it so it goes along the ground aim it just to the left of the wall pass it as fast as you can and put right spin on it to make it curl for the left corner or if the freekicks on the left then go for the right hand side. It should work

Ive done that one with Beckham hes brilliant for taking the freekicks, but i did it on FIFA World Cup 2002 still it sounds the same problem it's very hard to score from freekicks though i am mastering it

I'm getting better. Average about two a week now :)

Scored an absolute beauty with Maradona earlier today. The ball didnt go more than a few yards off the floor and i bent it right around the wall...it curled right into the bottom corner! I aint kidding, right in the bottom corner, keeper didnt get anywhere near it. I aint ever scored one like that before, they only usually ever go in through the top corner.

I was dead chuffed with that one and screamed my head off when it went in :)

Added that one to my collection on my memory card :) Maradona has quite a few in there :)

I scored one with Marinda today against Leeds.

Ive never scored on a free kick before in Pro Evolution - Let in quite a few mind

Scored a few in my time - they're not impossible, but very difficult, which is the way it should be.

I've scored quite a few free kicks with Maradona and Cruyff. Although I do play a lot of games! Got them all saved on a memory card i use only for pro evolution saves.

On average I only score about once a week. I think its pretty realistic really. Free-kicks dont go in every week for players in the top leagues. Look at Roberto Carlos for Brazil in real life. His free-kick in this world cup was his first goal for Brazil since the one he scored against France 5 years ago...

I've got Winning Eleven 6 (Pro Evo 2) and I must say they are vastly improved!! With Pro Evo 1 I probably scored a free-kick every 20 games, but with WE6 I've already scored about 7 or 8!!! And I've only had it a few weeks!!!

The reason being that now once the power bar goes up on the shot you can hold down X (giving the ball a lot of dip) or /\ (not as much dip, but the ball doesn't lose as much speed)!!!!

Beckham is by far the best free-kick taker, but I've started using HasselBaink from long range!!! I scored one from 37metres out the other day!!

Chilavert curls the ball brilliantly for me.
