I'm not sure whether anyone will be interested but I'll give it a whirl. Just to liven the forum up a bit.

It's all yellow at the Nurburgring

Sato has won the European Grand Prix and Fisichella came second to give Jordan a 1-2 finish and lift their title spirits. Fisichella led off the line but Sato managed to take him after the pit stops and pull away for the win.

It was a day of retirements as 8 cars failed to finish. Bernoldi was out first on lap 6 with electronic failure. Trulli retired on lap 11 with transmission problems. De La Rosa was pushed into a wall by Raikkonen and retirement was inevitable on lap 17. Button's engine failed on lap 31. Webber, Coulthard, Frentzen and Ralf Schumacher all had transmission failure between laps 36 and 57.

A lot of cars had a lot of trouble staying on the track even though the weather was really hot and dry. The most notable incident was on lap 3 when Villeneuve tried to go up the inside of teammate Panis and both ended up in the gravel. Both continued but certain points were lost.

Sato had to fend off Webber early on and drove a superb race to win. Fisichella took second although it could have been so much more. Montoya crept into third with a quiet drive. Salo came 4th, Irvine picked up Jaguar's first points with 5th and McNish rounded out the top 6.

Full race results:

1st Sato (Bizarre Cabbage) 1h26m44.062s
2nd Fisichella +18.933s

YES.

Once again Ralf has a good starting position, let's hope he can improve on it come race time.

Upturn in fortune for Jordan at the Nurburgring

Fisichella was the surprise package in qualifying when he turned in a superb lap time to take pole position. Car setup was very important and once the cloud cover had disappeared, no one could catch Fisichella.

Full qualifying times:

1st Fisichella 1m14.958s
2nd Webber (Ant) 1m14.998s
3rd R Schumacher (Badgerman) 1m15.001s
4th Frentzen (KR) 1m15.006s
5th Coulthard (Quinty) 1m15.027s
6th Sato (Bizarre Cabbage) 1m15.042s
7th Panis (Your Honour) 1m15.056s
8th Raikkonen (Figo) 1m15.080s
9th Villeneuve (James Pond) 1m15.081s
10th Massa (Riquelme) 1m15.096s
11th Montoya (Foreman) 1m15.118s
12th Salo (PS2 Proud) 1m15.128s
13th Trulli (Triple H) 1m15.143s
14th Barrichello (Reddy 2002) 1m15.148s
15th Yoong (No.2) 1m15.158s
16th Bernoldi (Afrojoe) 1m15.162s
17th McNish (Dr. Pepper - oni) 1m15.168s
18th Irvine (Dead Wonder) 1m15.184s
19th Button (Jetster) 1m15.210s
20th De La Rosa (Grandprix) 1m15.297s
21st Heidfeld (Daxter) 1m15.299s
22nd M Schumacher (JAR) 1m15.334s

I'm aware MCH is banned. If he does not claim Fisichella before I put the race results up, he will be up for grabs.

Will Frentzen hold off all challengers and extend his lead at the top?
