First come, first serve basis.
How unlucky was I to go into last position?
:D
Brazil saw the first wet qualifying and Coulthard took pole position with an extremely late time. Everyone was very close, as has been the case this season, but everything changed. The session started wet with light drizzle but with 15 minutes left, a dry line emerged. The lottery began and it seemed like everyone had pole at one point and it was the last car on the track was going to get the pole. Coulthard crossed the line with 10 seconds of the session remaining and was allowed to finish the lap and claimed pole position.
Full qualifying times:
1st Coulthard (Quinty) 1m18.987s

Coulthard benefited by being the last out on the track but is he the fastest racer in Brazil?
I'm also 3rd in the drivers championship, and KR is equal 1st.
Quite the opposite of how Arrows is doing in real life.
:-)

He's doing it using a game called Grand Prix 4 for the PC, which has the same racers, tracks and teams as F1 2002.
I think Grandprix sits and watches the race, making notes of what's going on or something like that. :-)
Anyways, great stuff Grandprix, keep it up. Oh, and by the way, how are you doig this, through F1 2002 or sumthing?

Again, top stuff Grandprix. Can't wait till next one, when will that be?
Frentzen won the Malaysia Grand Prix in a spinfest. Rain decided this race as the biggest challenge was not winning the race, but staying on the track! The weather started drizzly but turned monsoon after just 16 laps.
Raikkonen spun out of the lead on lap 2 and spins 4 other times during the race. De La Rosa spins 3 times in 2 laps early on and spins late on as well. McNish has a spin and a coming together with Barrichello. Montoya, Villeneuve, Bernoldi, Fisichella, Trulli, Massa, Coulthard, Sato, Irvine and Michael Schumacher all spin at one point in the race.
Irvine ran wide on lap 11 and while recovering, Michael Schumacher rams Irvine and causes damage to both cars. Both require pit stops to correct the problem.
Disaster for Minardi as both retire with technical difficulties. Yoong went out on lap 20 with a water leak and Webber went out after 33 laps with an engine failure.
Salo and Trulli were the only other retirements. Salo had a brake problem after 30 laps and Trulli and Michael Schumacher had a coming together resulting in Trulli being hit by Villeneuve and being damaged beyond repair. Villeneuve required a pit stop to repair a front wing.
Frentzen drove a flawless race and while everyone was dropping off the track, he kept his head and won. Panis couldn't catch Frentzen because of his inferior grid position and had to settle for a comfortable second. Heidfeld had a few scares but managed third. Ralf Schumacher, Bernoldi and Massa rounded out the top six.
