Well me and my brother went to the computer shop where we are regulars on saturday and put an order in for a GeForce 4 Ti 4600. It should arrive at the store tommorow, so we are taking the computer in to get it "seen to". I cant wait to see the difference in power (we have a 16mb card the now).

lol im on Win98 it works fine!

Windows 98 will only use 512mb RAM, anything NT based will use as much RAM as you throw at it.

Thats why i was thnking of the upgrade to windows XP, up to 2gb of RAM is installable without any hickups. Not that i have enough RAM slots to accomodate that, but you get the point.

640mb??? Thats a lot of RAM. Ive got 512mb, but i heard any more than that and windows starts going crazy.

yea..... tho i am on a 1ghz amd athlon and 640mb RAM im gonna go cheap and buy a Geforce 2 GTS 36 quid only.

Also depends on how much memory your computer has.

I still got a P166 sitting in the next room. Man that things old...

*only* 1ghz processor.
