Then my HD failed, and I lost the saves!
I started again a couple of weeks ago, and finished it last night.
Did I miss something, or did they just forget to finish it?!
You have the hectic pace of the last couple of missions, blow the place up, get to the train... and then on of your comrades says "Would ya look at that!" as the train pulls away, and... that's it?
Straight into the credits without even so much as an end movie? That sucks!
Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic game, and still the best FPS available in my opinion. But I felt really let down by that ending - it's almost as if the completed the last mission and rushed it out to the shops.
They seem to be digging themselves in as the gaming industries super b######s now.
To think EA had the nerve to drop 2015 from future developments of the MOH series, especially with the work and effort that went in to developing this great game. No doubt EA is going to try and claim it put in all the hard work to make this game what it is.
As Goaty said, there were a lot of rumours flying around just before release that 2015 were pressured by EA into releasing before they were ready, and that an entire mission set was removed from the game. Certain parts of the code for that level is apparently still visible, according to people on the dedicated MOH:AA sites; it's something to do with extra medals tht don't exist in the game, but do in the programming.
The multi-player option was rushed out as well. Initially the game had no on-line capability, but EA stepped in waving the flag and shouting 'Oh yes there bloody well will be'. This is why the on-line play sucks when compared to other games like RTCWS.
There is of course an add on coming out that resolves the crappy on-line play and adds a further three campaigns to the single player game.
Interpretation of what 'campaign' means is under discussion....
I'm still contemplating getting Frontline for the PS2. They've apparently completely ignored any multiplayer aspect in that and concentrated 100% on producing an outstanding single-player.
Sounds like they tried to do the same with AA, until EA stuck their oar in.
Apparently EA waded in and said "Ship it now. Oh, and put a multiplayer game on as well", which they had not programmed for.
Hence a bog-standard online experience and rushed ending.
EA suck cow udder
