Excellent addition to the Flashpoint world.
But this one is really, really hard.
If you get frustrated by the other two, then don't even go near this one.

Double-hard but good fun.
I am currently camped out high on a valley top, awaiting the arrival of a convoy so I can attack and steal their munitions.
Except my comrades are stupid and think firing AK-47s at T75 tanks is a good idea, then wonder why they all get annihilated within 30 secs, leaving me to flee at speed into the woods.

I loved OF, yet to get the next two, but I definetly will, only completed the first one a few days ago.

Its one of the few really challenging games around, something that makes you think. A lot of people don't like it simpley because they aren't intelligent enough. Ah well, let them play their games, I find things like SOF ridiculously easy, and quite stupid. Run round corner, shoot man with shotgun, watch man's leg fly across room, repeat ad infinitum (or whatever that phrase is...) aint my idea of fun.

I'm not sure how you can say that. It's not dead, there are over 600 web sites devoted to it, and there just the few i know about.
It's not slow, just needs to be played tacticaly, which does take time, but that's one of the things that make it so good and popular.
It's not out of date, the game play more than makes up for any weak graphics.
Thats not stress you felt, you were just involved in it. That just shows how easy it is to get into it.

I can't wait, i havn't had time to get it yet, only play for 20 mins, hopefully Saturday i'll get it.

The new terrain looks sweet, the pistols are much needed, and well worth the wait. The motorbike is very nice. I would advise getting this anytime of the day(or night).

I really want this game, Flashpoint is one of all time favourite PC games of all time. The trouble is I don't have the time right now for yet another game, but I will get it, and soon.

As for the game being hard, well that's one of the appeals of the game for me. Unlike other titles like Delta Force (or delta farce to be accurate) flashpoint challenges and forces you into tough decisions which need to sorted fast if your going to get anywhere.

It's the missions, which I find the most enjoyable thing about the game. You can never tell how a mission is going to pan out, it could go without a hitch, or could be a complete disaster. I love the ones where you’re stuck behind enemy lines and have to get back to the friendly border, incredibly tense and challenging.

Red Hammer expanded on the first game by providing even harder and more challenging levels that required much more thought before you went about completing them. I expect Resistance will expand on this even more, but it has far better improvements in other areas, which are looking good. A new, big island to fight on, an improved graphics engine, small arms such as pistols and Uzi’s, some cool new vehicles as well as a ton of other small improvements.

Can't wait to get my hands on the game, unfortunately I'll have to. Damn.

Hell yes it's hard.

And at first it caused many many a popped blood vessel. Until I realised you could improvise and utilise anything and everything.
Like that chopper level, I crashed and had to get the fuel and yep, the tanks got me too.
Until I discovered an ammo dump in the camp, nicked satchel-charges and placed them on the tanks.

Crawled away, set the charges off and flew away.

Same with Resistance.
Seems stupidly hard, but that's because my mind doesn't usually work in a "Well try it this way", I seem to always go the prescribed route without deviating.

I'm on this "Destroy Convoy" level - ambush in the valley.
So I ran down and lay in the bushes along the road, waited for them to roll up and then shot wildly.
Then a mate suggested taking LAWs from the rebel base, laying on top of the ridge and smashing them from a distance.

If you can figure out the different ways, it's top.
Or if you're like me and just throw yourself repeatedly, it's hard.
But I love this series.

I claimed this as a GAD some time ago so it should arrive any day now.
But you say it's even harder than the other two? Sheesh, it must be hard as those previous ones were rock hard.

I was happy after completing the original as I knew it was a good gaming achievement to complete such a tough game, but I gave up on the Red Hammer one because I got frustrated at an annoying bug.
It was the level where you started off at an airfield, and had to get to the refuelling truck, refuel the chopper, then fly and destroy loads of enemy tanks.
It was hard enough to actually get to the truck when fighting off loads of enemy troops, but when I got in the air near the end those darn tanks just kept destroying me.
The problem was that you can save ONCE during the level, but after I refuelled the chopper I saved it before trying the difficult bit with the tanks, but when I died it wouldn't let me restart from my saved position. Grrrrhhh.

O.F is a great game series, but way too hard for most normal human beings :)
