Ahhh crap. I could go back to 56K dial-up, but after being on a 256k/sec line I really wouldn't be able to take it. Tonight I will have to persuade my dad to get DSL or ADSL. I don't mind either, but I need one soon or I just won't be able to live.
After over a year of having his three computers connected... er-no is internetless.
Pity me, please.

a) You've blocked me
b) You've got a different address
I can understand if you've blocked me, and I can understand if you've got a different address but... tarn sorn it, can't think of anything else.
how about at uni?
and mr happy, that BTAnytime thingy..... does it clog up the phone line or not?
Now here's the clever bit.
Leave it on, and get your computer to reconnect after the autodisconnect kicks in.
Then leave it all day.
A repeat performance of heavy usage will ensure that BT ask you ver y nicely to witch to broadband, offering you three months free and free modem + activation.
Then take them up on it.
I now have a 576kb/s connection and it rocks.

You should put that in the GAMEADAY joke thread. That kept me laughing for quite a while.
Unless you've got used to downloading everything and watching movies while web browsing at the same time.
