*I've just read the section in the PSM2 mag and just been on the site and here is the first funny I found...

BARGIN BASEMENT BROTHEL
This place masquerades as a B&B under the management of Madame Toms. Charlie calls it rustic, which means it's a sh!thole. There's a greater turnover on the roulette table in here than most of London's legit Casinos.

*Here is one of the first cool things I have read....

The Crackhouse-
Jamahl is the most powerful and most infamous Jamaican in London. This is his Yardie smoking den where they deal coke and cane weed. You can smell the Marijuana fumes half way down the street. There's been seven reported drive-bys here in the last twelve months.

*another great use of words.......

The Criminal Mastermind: Charlie Jolson
Charlie Jolson. Classic Bentleys. Casablanca suits. Fat Cuban cigars. Bobby Moore and Winston Churchill. Symbols of a past era.

The Getaway gunna be great with up to forty square kilometres of central london to play around in, its took Sony 2 years to make!
Its got violence, bad language and the odd spot of nudity what more do we want??

I'm confident this game will be great, and better than GTA3.

Unlike GTA3 it's set in a real city, using real cars and has real looking people, the graphics engine is amazing as is the attention to detail of London. There's a more solid and mature storyline to the game, which GTA3 lacked, as well as the ability to get out of cars and go into buildings to engage in some shooting action. A weaker aspect of GTA3.

Don't gat me wrong, GTA3 is a great game, but I think the Getaway will be even better. And besides, if the game turns out to be crap, there's always GTA: Vice and Driver 3 to fall back on.

I think you'll find there's plenty of adult content in this game, as it's been planned as an 18-rated game from the very beginning, so that they didn't have to hold back on anything.

Yep, there is blood, it drips out of a wound and runs down you coat etc.

Also, when you get shot it slows you down and your aiming gets less accurate etc.

Yep, the handling looks a bit twitchy but just like GTA3 it was easy to get used to.

People look awesome, they used real peoples faces and wrapped them around CGI models or something... aswell as real clothes...
Cars look awesome with the same features as GTA3 where you cruise around a certain part of the city at a certain time and theres different cars and people...

You can also go inside buildings which should be a great feature, you can enter buildings and theres no loading screen, just straight in to a round full of bullets.

One of the features they dont know whether to include yet is the addition of 'Adult Content' I think they should include this anyway as its gonna been an 18 certificate, they might as well as include it, increase in realism.

Been waiting for this game for a long time, was waiting for the PS1 release but was scrapped for the PS2 and im finally happy it's coming soon.

Cant wait...

I see the blood!

And doesn't the in-game engine look as if it was taken straight off the Driver one?

i personaly didnt like gta3 car handling. it felt unrealistic and really silly the way sports mcars handled the same as tanks.

btw, you see 80 square miles? would that go up to wimbledon, cos i would just love terrorizing the umpires wit a tvr or some reason.
