The Getaway isn't *supposed* to have a sense of humour.
It's been designed as a violent, crime-filled, 18-rated action game from the start. Whereas GTA3 was designed to be a big slice of immoral fun, and just happened to need an 18-rating when it was finished.

It's not going to have the same sense of humour as GTA3 though, is it. I don't believe it could possibly be as good, regardless of how realistic everything is.
Probably for some underhand dealings somewhere, involving acting on the field. A classic example - falling down clutching his face when being congratulated after a goal.
Doesnt Charlie sound like that fat bloke that used to be in Eastenders, I think he was called frank Butcher or summit?
