Gag away!
Yes, the winner has finally been picked by Tony, who in his infinite wisdom decided to pick not a joke from the shortlist I created by sifting through page after page noting down the best gags, but by picking his favourite. Some people, eh? Anyway, the clear winner was my 'Bo Selecta' joke, but seeing as Staff can't win... well, you know. And the winner for the joke that cheered up Tony the most for his 50th birthday is...
Hercules! for his Budgie-jumping gag. Okay, so it's not the most side-splitting tale ever told, but that wasn't the task, the task was to cheer up the boss man, and cheer up the boss man it did. Here's the gag in its entirety to save you digging it up from the dozens and dozens of pages I just looked through:
"Two idiots stand on a cliff with their arms outstretched. One has some budgies lined up on each arm, the other has parrots. After a couple of minutes, they both leap off the cliff and fall to the ground. Laying next to each other in hospital, one says to the other, "I don't think much of this budgie jumping." The other idiot replies, "Yeah, I'm not too keen on this parrot-gliding either.""
Boom, as they say, boom. Congrats Herc, you win the game or DVD of your choice, up to the value of £50. Well done everyone else, my personal favourites were the one about the old lady in the queue at McDonalds, the man with the cup and the diagnosis machine and the one with the complementary nuts.

No but loads of N00bs think the more replies you get the more chance you stand of winning GAD.

slik ~_~
Nintendo originally helped to design the Sony PlayStation. Yes, It's true! Back in 1993 Nintendo announced plans of a new system called the Super CD. It was much like the Mega CD for the Mega Drive. Except, Nintendo stated that the new console, which would "piggy back" on the Super NES, could handle Polygons. They joined up with Sony for ideas on the new machines processing power. But Nintendo and Sony had arguments over the project, which then lead to Sony splitting from the Super CD project.
Anyway, Nintendo pulled the plug on that idea, since they were now working on developing a home arcade machine dubbed "Project Reality". (The Nintendo 64). Sony eventually took all the ideas they had along with Nintendo and used them to create the Sony PlayStation.
Interesting don't you think? What's that? No? Oh well...
