Just saw in the Top 40 Games thread started by FM, that GasMask's name was greyed out, and he's been banned.

What for? Anyone know?

Wish I'd never made this bloody thread now. What is wrong with everyone today?

They don't have to be right to ban you, your not guaranteed not to be banned, I doubt you can sue them if they ban you.
True, it's a shame hes been banned but why are you saying the staff are wrong? nothing you can do about it.

Because, of course, nobody is ever allowed to make a mistake. GasMask is not in the wrong for promoting piracy, because he didn't even do anything, for God's sake. He made a joke, something I could have seen myself doing too, and also something I could have seen myself laughing at. You're banning someone for being who they are, bans that are for trying to be someone they're not are fine by me, but never, never for being who they are.

Well, okay, you wouldn't necessarly, but few commercial codes are of that format.

Anyway, the point is... while I would back you 100% on banning people for posting such things (not that you NEED my backing, of course), it does seem that you jumped the gun a little, having misunderstood the tone of GasMask's post.

No-one here can make you lift the ban, obviously, but I for one would hope that the 'honest mistake' will be realised and that he will be re-instated.
