According to the latest official X-Box mag and the man Robbie Bach (chief x-box officer), Splinter Cell is a console exclusive to the X-Box.

No that's where you're wrong it's also coming out on Cube, sounds intresting it's released in December so it may have to be a purchase.
They should put it in the arcades as well.
I don't suppose you have a picture. I'd like to see it.

Yeah but just look at all those switches, lights, buttons, pedals and joysticks ! Its the ultimate boys toy ! :-)) LOL

Having said that, it's the first time it's been done in a trully practical way. Back in the days of the Nes it was infrared meaning if you didn't point it directly at the console at all times then it didn't work.
It was less bother using cables.
Also, back then, people didn't play so many four player games so wires tangling up were never such a problem.
Many a time in a Goldeneye deathmatch has my younger brother suddenly jumped, pulling the (tangled) joypad and the rest of the N64 with it crashing to the floor.
This Steel Battalion does look fairly interesting but is a bit too geared around one game and will probably be fair expensive too.
Possibly revolutionary (should it really take off) but definately impractical.

Its an X-Box game, basically a Tom Clancy style Metal Gear Solid game. Its looking very interesting so far. :-)

No doubt this will be taken as being biased towards something because its coming to X-Box, but I think Capcom's Steel Battalion controller should have won that award because its an excellent idea. To get you into the game, you also get a controller that makes you feel like your controlling a mech along with the pedals and stuff.
I mean, yeah its nice not to have a cable on a joypad, but its not exactly a new idea - even the NES had cordless joypads.
Well done Shigsy and co., even if you couldn't find that Sword when demonstrating Zelda GC to the public! ;D
After all, you only needed it to get to progress further!
It got an award and I thought it was just another boring Tom Clancy game.
