We now know we Face Brasil in the next round of the World Cup, before this cup began a lot of people were writing off Englands chances to even qulify from the famously named 'group of death' let alone be facing one of the best teams in the world in the Quarter finals.

They said "England wont qualify" - We did

They said "England will be lucky to get anything from Argentina" - We Did

They said "It will be diffcult to Beat Denmark" - But We won it fairly easily.

England keep on defying the odds, but does now come the hardest game we have played in this tournament having beaten the favorites?

I was the first to write off Brasil's chances before the WC began because I felt that their form was not good, but they have been playing really well and come through their group with ease, but have they been tested? They certainly don't look brilliant at the back and I think we can certainly exploit them, as Belgium showed.

I think England are now a team that noone really wants to face, and with the Likes of Seamen, Nicky Butt, Rio Ferdinand and Becks coming into form at the right time, I think we can beat them and if we do I think we will go on to win thw World Cup.

What do you think?

Really???? That's no joke!??? I heard something about this on TV earlier and I just thought it was all a joke! :o

I was sposed to go into school on Thursday/Friday to sort some Art stuff out, but I got a letter today saying it's now Wednesday/Thursday instead.
I reckon it's to do with the footie!

Hopefully we'll get the day/some hours off next week when I go back.
That is of course IF England DO somehow beat them! :S

Like he struggled against Gabriel Batistuta, Ariel Ortega, Hernan Crespo?
Ronaldo will have to get past Rio & Cambell if they want a goal not the other way round and I think they will acheive that. Rivaldo has been dissapointing in this WC and doesnt look anything like the player we all know he is but he can change a game in an instance so can the likes of juniniho and ronaldinho so we will have to watch them, but I think Butt, Scholes & Becks are up for the job.

Along with Khan, Seaman has been excellent in this tournament if not the best, he's old but still got it when it comes down to it. Brasil have never replaced tafferel who was their best keeper and currently have a keeper who has at best been tested by average teams, unless of course you call China awsome attack a worry.

> And as for Rivaldo, he's scored in every game so far - what's gunna stop him scoring on Friday!

Yeh but what kinda teams has he scored against? you have to look at the opposition not just the kind of player they are, look at Portugal, Figo was marked out the game and only with 10 minutes ago did Figo do anything in the game. The opposition have to be up for the job and have to mark players well as well as read the game, break up attacks and use a counter, I think we can do that.

I think the potential winners of the WC will come from this game and I think it will be us.

They haven't even come up against a really decent team yet whereas we have had Argentina, Sweden and Denmark.

Even if we do beat Brazil, I am not going to get my hopes up as there are a lot of quality teams in the other section (if that's what you want to call it)like Spain, Germany and Italy.

Best thing is that school doesn't start till 10 on Friday, YES!

Well, if Belgium can stop the service, I'm sure England can.

It all depends how we go about the game, but I know we're capable.

England have proven the critics wrong and so have Brazil - so we're both in a pretty similar situation.

The game could go either way I spose, but I still only see Brazil nicking it. What they lack in defence they make up for with more in that fearsome attacking line-up.

Rio Ferdinand WILL struggle this time round!!
And Seaman will feel so old that his hair will go a white/grey colour, leading to his long greasy black hair falling out at full-time.

Ronaldo's on-form now, and he'll destroy us as long as he can get the service he didn't always get today. And as for Rivaldo, he's scored in every game so far - what's gunna stop him scoring on Friday!
And there's always Denilson to come off the bench! :S

We certainly can't afford another "do nothing" second-half.

I think the biggest deciding factor will be the heat, though.

If we beat Brazil, which we can, then we'll win the World Cup. They are extremely dodgy at the back, and haven't come up against a proper defence yet in the whole tournament.

A performance like those against Argentina and Denmark will see us past Brazil easily, I reckon.
