We now know we Face Brasil in the next round of the World Cup, before this cup began a lot of people were writing off Englands chances to even qulify from the famously named 'group of death' let alone be facing one of the best teams in the world in the Quarter finals.

They said "England wont qualify" - We did

They said "England will be lucky to get anything from Argentina" - We Did

They said "It will be diffcult to Beat Denmark" - But We won it fairly easily.

England keep on defying the odds, but does now come the hardest game we have played in this tournament having beaten the favorites?

I was the first to write off Brasil's chances before the WC began because I felt that their form was not good, but they have been playing really well and come through their group with ease, but have they been tested? They certainly don't look brilliant at the back and I think we can certainly exploit them, as Belgium showed.

I think England are now a team that noone really wants to face, and with the Likes of Seamen, Nicky Butt, Rio Ferdinand and Becks coming into form at the right time, I think we can beat them and if we do I think we will go on to win thw World Cup.

What do you think?

Because we've been taught otherwise by England themselves.

Ah, but you beat Argentina in an Air-conditioned staduim (excuses, excuses..blah...blah blah). Lets see how England perform against the south Americans in some real heat.

Your actually asking us if you think that we can beat Brazil!!?

What is this forum coming to!? Why is everyone so negative, we will easilyt beat the south American's, after all we have already done are bit in knocking out on of the south American teams, so we can easily put another one out.

Of course you can't beat Brazil.

What kind of a question is that?

B0LLoX!

Rivaldo has scored in every game, okay, not against the greatest opposition, but these are still international teams.

He also been one of the best performers on the CYKI world cup thingy. Scoring 40 points so far! 57 attacking passes in 4 games...woooo!

Okay, i'm just sticking up for him cos he has got me loads of points :) (20 today as my captain :))

Anyway, IF England do get through I reckon they will (maybe) play Japan. The vocal support they get from thier fans is quality and could take them all the way.

It would be weird though, England vs Japan, would the japs where thier Japan shirts on top of thier Beckham shirts? :)

This tournament looks to have really opened up for England. IF they beat Brazil on Friday they will face either Senegal, Japan or Turkey in the SEMI FINAL. Senegal are probably the strongest of those three teams but even so you would have to fancy England to beat the Africans. We are looking at a place in the world cup final if we win on Friday.

Despite concerns over our defence going into the World Cup it is actually our defence which has proved so effective. We have the best defensive record in the competition (1 goal conceded in four games) and we have had harder matches than the Brazillians. Brazil are superb going forward and I think they will score against England. Provided England can restrict them to 1 or 2 goals I think WE will cause them major problems at the back and will OUTSCORE them. I go for a narrow England victory in a high scoring match (perhaps 3-1, 3-2 or 4-2).

Should England beat Brazil their confidence would rocket and I think we could see our boys crowned WORLD CHAMPIONS on June 30th.
