I’m sure that you heard about the Queen’s whistle stop tour round the UK and recently she’s done Wales… what a shambles… she came to Dolau on one stop (where I visited) anyway! … I’m with the Air Cadets, as many of you know so of course us local boys are the Queen’s security… Bah Humbug! So we were bored for a while… lounging around, eating, drinking, scabbing free stuff… when we saw the Queen’s helicopter to her next place!
For some odd reason she comes after her ride home does?
Anyway we form up and look smart (don’t know how)… the Duke of Edinburgh walks past and talks to our CO… (Commanding officer) after he spots a sticker in the bin and places it on our CO’s chest… (Impression) *You are the **** I wipe off my boots, obey me… you are dirt…* and he expects us to do his superior DOE award… my @r$£!
Later we are again formed up so we can be sent to stand in set places and then hold mine tape to spell out EIIR (Elizabeth Royal 2nd). They find they have to extra people… the simple who doesn’t want to do it comes to mind… but noooooo! Who is the shortest? Of course it was me and another person, so we sit out and don’t even get to see the queen! We worked and were denied a lifetime opportunity because we are too short… explain to me why this was fair!
The Cadet Warrant Officer there said he’d make it up to us… what will he do… a tea party with the queen… Oh… I’m furious… just discuss before I rip all my hair out!
