"That said, it becomes extremely important to take care of your Pikmin because of the tight 30 day schedule. Unfortunately, in game time each day is only about 15-20 minutes long depending on cut-scenes and pauses. So in the main adventure only amounts to about 10-12 hours of gameplay. This is perhaps Pikmin's biggest flaw. It rushes you through these lush environments forcing you to complete the game in about 10-12 hours. Ever worse the last two of the five environments are absolutely spectacular, packed with puzzles, and we need not spoil the awesome last boss for you. Why is that a bad thing? Simply because you don't want it to end. Pikmin is such a fresh, new kind of experience and you are rushed through it."
So it forces you to finish in about 10hrs?
Balls to that.
I think I wasted my money on a Gamecube to be honest, Star Wars is good but I've done it and the Monkey Ball thing is simplicity itself.
And nowt being released I want.
That'll learn me to ignore my instinct and return to my own vomit.

You're right. You didn't mention GT3. But then again, I get annoyed so much about people claiming GT3 to be amazing and the best game ever when its really just a boring pile of crap.
I just recently

Where di you see this tape i would like to try and enquire it.
Most realistic racers really suck.
They take out all the tension and "danger" that makes the real life sport so exilerating and leave a dead, dry skill simulator which just doesn't appeal to me.
Still, each to their own.

Did I mention GT3 ?? Seeing as you have brought it up though, I would choose GT3 ahead of Wave Race anyday. Plenty of tournaments to enter, loads of cars to get and buy parts for, etc. I had a pretty good time on that game upgrading a Dodge Viper along with a few other cars and then racing them.
With Wave Race, I bought it at launch and expected it to be good after having Ninties screaming about how great all the games are. I would have bought Monkey Ball at the time but I had it down for GAD. Things went a bit pear-shaped and it didn't arrive, after getting things sorted out, I was able to change the GAD to an X-Box game so I guess the little mess up was a blessing in disguise.
I looked at the release schedule and for me, it was disappointing. The games I picked out were basically Resident Evil, F-Zero, Mario Kart and Metroid Prime. That didn't really fill me full of confidence in the console so I thought sod it and got rid of it. I just recently saw a 3 hour tape covering E3 (covering all the consoles) and when I saw the likes of Mario Sunshine, Zelda cell shaded, Metroid Prime and Mario Party, I was left feeling pretty happy about my decision. F-Zero looked pretty good, but then I don't really want the console for the sake of that one game.
Cell shaded Zelda looks about as well done as Henry's Cat, Mario Sunshine looks dull, Resident Evil looks pretty good and Metroid, although looking ok just doesn't fill me full of excitement - I've seen better FPS games and a multitude of them are coming out on X-Box. So in the end I decided to just concentrate on X-Box cause theres around 60 titles I want on the console.

Heh heh. They're all really great. I have got Wave Race as well, and Luigi's Mansion and Star Wars. They're all really fun, except Luigi's Mansion which is getting frustrating now. I haven't even finished it yet!!!

If you think Wave Race is crap because its boring, then you can't call GT3 even remotely good. Probably the most boring pile of crap I've ever played. "Ooo the cars have reflections." "Ooo when I crash into a wall I keep on going." "Ooo there are over 500 cars." "Ooo its basically the same thing over and over again with different environments."
Fun?
You gotta be kidding me. Fun comes in many ways - variety, multiplayer, and storyline. Repetition is not one of them, and GT3 is the gaming equivalent of repeatedly putting your shoes on and taking them off again. Mind you, that can be fun for a few minutes if you've got a shoe horn - a bit like the novelty of GT3, but after that it is dull, repetitive and most significantly - it hurts and you never want to play again.
It's not my style of game either so I left it be.
Monkey Ball, Smash Brothers and Pikmin!
Now THAT'S what you should've gone for (it's not too late!).

Yeah and reverse the consoles in what has the "fun" games and you have my opinion. I didn't find the Nintendo games fun, just very frustrating or in Wave Race's case, boring as well as frustrating.
