"That said, it becomes extremely important to take care of your Pikmin because of the tight 30 day schedule. Unfortunately, in game time each day is only about 15-20 minutes long depending on cut-scenes and pauses. So in the main adventure only amounts to about 10-12 hours of gameplay. This is perhaps Pikmin's biggest flaw. It rushes you through these lush environments forcing you to complete the game in about 10-12 hours. Ever worse the last two of the five environments are absolutely spectacular, packed with puzzles, and we need not spoil the awesome last boss for you. Why is that a bad thing? Simply because you don't want it to end. Pikmin is such a fresh, new kind of experience and you are rushed through it."
So it forces you to finish in about 10hrs?
Balls to that.
I think I wasted my money on a Gamecube to be honest, Star Wars is good but I've done it and the Monkey Ball thing is simplicity itself.
And nowt being released I want.
That'll learn me to ignore my instinct and return to my own vomit.

It'll be by Sega - at the moment it seems to be a rumour as Sega announced they would be bringing some of their classics to X-Box. Toejam & Earl is obviously one of them, the others are gradually announced as time goes on. I can't remember the site where I saw the news, I think a magazine also brought it up too. Don't think its been "officially" announced by Sega yet. Apparently one thing about it is that it'll be cell shaded.
I take Dringo's side.
GT3 is a very crap 'update', where they rushed and made it.

Ahh come on Sony have got a good line-up, they've got GTA Vice City, Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo updates and....and...ummmmmm anyone wanna help me out here I can't think of any decent games.
If it had no time limit, it would end up like C&C, fun for a while, then totally boring as for the 30th mission in a row you sit around for two hours doing nothing but harvesting tiberiam so you can actually build some bloody units.

That's the stupidest statement i've heard in a long time, all it is is Sony showing off the graphical capabilites of their console. The gameplay is practically unchanged from the PS1 versions. If you want the best racer of all time try MSR or Project Gotham, at least they try doing something new with the genre and are acessible to a wider audience instead of Car nerds and and hardcore gamers who don't mind doing 100 laps of the same track to unlock a new car.
GT3 is about as much one of the best games of all time as the Jaguar was a vast step forward for gaming and a massive sucess.

Ah, so that's why it's one of the best games of all time then.
I agree that in the earlier stages of the game when you can only have slow cars it can be dull, but once you get yourself a proper sports car or one of the F1 cars, racing is fast and frantic, and is accompanied by fantastic music. And also, the rewards are great. Why else would people spend so long trying to get to 100%? I think the music plays a big part though, without that I would be a bit more dull, I'll admit.
I agree with savatt, I don't find Nintendo games 'fun', I find them frustrating and ultimately uninvolving. If I had the choice of MGS1 on the PSX or the newest Mario platformer on the GameCube, then I would definitely go with MGS, even though I've played it so many times. I just want to keep going back to it, just for the atmosphere if anything.
> GTA aint all that anyway
Quite true to be honest. After you have completed all the missions and found all the secrets, there's really nothing to take you back to it. The killing, stealing and kerb-crawling soon tires...

I heard that too, but I have also recently heard that the GTA series is PS2 exclusive till 2004 (or something like that), which is really stupid, and i'm annoyed. I'm not buying another PS2 just to play GTA!
