Well, I got the new issue in the post, and thought it fair to post the scores. A lot of the games have been reviewed in previous issues, either the US/JAP versions. Anyway, here they are...

I would just like to point out that the screenshots used for this short review were actually from the original Breath of Fire. The cheek! What's more, the review makes it sound like they didn't even play it. Judging from the score, I doubt they even did, because they gave it a 'safe' score.

Something smells very 'five minute playtest' about this one. Verrryy fishy. Oh, and I really hate it when screenshots in magazines are always of the first level. NGC magazine SAY they play games through to the end, but with ones like Super Monkey Ball, the screenshots are only of the first few levels.

Does NGC still do those challenge thingys? You know, where they set permanent, hard challenges for the best games and when you complete certain amounts they send you a bronze, silver or gold badge thing?

NGC isnt £3.95, its £3.50 and whats more the "childish" pictures etc... are actually funny. Unlike NOM's usual pictures of random dog t**d'.

Well, some games like Luigi's, when they're proper, decent, benchmark games, they are properly played. What I'm getting at, is all the mediocre games - like Virtua Striker, Fifa, Tony Hawk's, Sonic Adventure 2 and all the ones which are destined for bargain bins.

Looking at NGC and NOM (since the relaunch), I actually think that NGC is now MUCH more childish than NOM. NOM gives you the facts, and some opinions, while NGC seems entirely biassed in some cases. In any case, it is full of jokes, cartoons and silly pictures - all of which NOM has now got rid of. I've had every issue of NOM since the re-vamp, and I think that it's the best GC mag at the moment. What's more, it's also only £3.15, and SR sell it in the shops for £2.95, making it £1 cheaper than NOM.

Has anyone entered the "take an interesting picture" compo, im thinking about it myself, i have a few ideas.
