I need help with my Disk Defragmenter...

After about 10% it says:

"Drive's contents changed, Restarting"

It repeats this every time it gets to 10%, how do I stop this from happening?

Help Well appreciated.

Disk Cleanup shows no problems.

What else could be wrong?

I've asked this SOOOOOOOOOOO many times, and got bupkiss, so PLEASE help me. Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase.

When I start Defragmenter doing it's work, defragmenting, the progress bar never fills up. I left it for three days to see if it'd do anything, but the progress bar remains empty, and so does the window which shows what it has done so far.

Why does this happen? What's wrong?

Well, this usually happens because your not idle. So, what I normally do I Ctrl+Alt+Del once. And End Task everything except Explorer and Systray. Check the screen saver is off.

Run Disk Defrag, turn off moniter and return a few hours later (Depending on your HDD size)

If that doesn't work, try running Windows in "Safe Mode"

Hold shift while booting. Takes you into Safe mode. Then disk defrag. If that doesn't work. Then your buggered :o) Nah, try everything that everyonce else has suggested.

Hope that helped..

Nimco's right: clean boot and you shouldn't have any problems. You can defragment under a normal windows session but you have to make sure that there is NO disk activity: turn off screen-savers, virus software, and everything in the task manager except explorer and the taskbar.

As for the other files: I'd go ahead and delete them. PC health files are, in my experience, quite hopeless in dealing with any problems you might encounter and just take up valuable space.

Common problem, it's because programs are running and making changes to the hard drive. Nimco's solution should work, failing that press ctrl alt del and one by one end all tasks except systray and explorer, then run the defrag.
