Okay, this is prompted by The GingerLord's topic about us not really knowing anyone else. You must tell us 5 things about yourself, little idiosyncracies, imperfections, weird stuff that we don't know. I'll go first:
1. I am unable to close Taxi doors properly. I have a thing where I always either slam it too hard and get a dodgy look from the driver, or waft it closed too softly, then I have to go back and close it properly. Taxi drivers don't like me.
2. I am also unable to put change back in my wallet properly. Whenever I finish a transaction with cash, I always stand at the front of the queue trying to put both the notes and the change in the right sections, and always hold up the next person. Either that, or I walk off holding my wallet, the notes, the change and the product I've just bought all in one hand. Mix this with a Taxi ride for optimum panic.
3. Sometimes I find smiling in a mirror for a few minutes actually does make you feel better. Even if you do look mental.
4. I eat approx. 1 bag of Prawn Cocktail crisps a day. In fact, I'm eating one now. Because I'm on my lunch, which is why I'm writing this.
5. I can't fall asleep without a cushion between my knees, or without rubbing my feet together like some insane giant grasshopper.
There you are, now you know a little more about me. Your turn.

1. I cant pee in a public toilet urinal if there are other people there, even if im bursting. I have to use a cubical.
2. I find it easier to sleep at night if the wind is howling past my bedroom wall and the rain is hitting my window.
3.I hate parties, i think they are boring.
4.Iam a hermit because im too shy to talk to people, sometimes iam reluctant to speak to friends.

Right, here we go.
1) When I was 6, I was hit by a cyclist when I stepped out of my back gate and cracked my head open. I needed butterfly stitches to repair that. About 6/7 years ago, I flew off my bike and fractured my wrist. Luckily it was my left hand but doing school work was harder. I needed surgery to remove a canine tooth that was growing funny. It had to be removed from the roof of my mouth and it was probably the most uncomfortable experience of my life. It was also only 3 weeks away from an speaking exam so I hadn't fully recovered.
2) I have the ability to pick up a reasonable level of performance in any sport I attempt except basketball and the more I play, the better I get. This is also the case with computer games. I also follow a lot of sports and try to understand them.
3) I'm a very shy and unconfident (is that a word?) person. Speaking to people, even my friends, is a real challenge. I have real trouble opening up to anyone face to face and can't describe my thoughts and feelings very well. The most horrible thing is, is that I can't explain why. Although I'm shy, I have an talent for listening to people. I may not have an answer all the time but I feel it helps if someone is there to listen.
4) I enjoy sitting in the garden and looking up at the clouds or the stars. When looking at the clouds, I try to describe what I'm seeing. I also find listening to the wind while sitting in my room relaxes me. I also have a dual carriageway which is nearby and I like sitting in a nearby field and listening to the cars going by.
5) I've been an F1 fan for many years and would never dream of giving it up. I would like to drive round Silverstone even if it is just for one lap. I've also really wanted to play the guitar as I love listening to instrumental guitar.

I had an operation similar to this as a kid, It worked a bit but one side of my nose is permanently blocked now which can be a bit of a pain.

1. I play guitar and do vocals in my church music group which is cool because it guarantees me a gig at least once a week and also means that if I died next week loads of people would come to my funeral.
2. I’m married to a recovering alcoholic, she will be two years sober on 23rd June which is also very cool, the downside of this is that I am also teetotal now :(

OK, here goes:
1. I've seen one of my own bones. When I was about 11 or 12, I had an accident which nearly resulted in the lower-half of my leg having to be removed. I have a scar all the way round the front of my leg, just below the knee. I was "Hawkinized" (tm of Monkey_man) in a wheelchair for 12 weeks - 3 weeks before and after the six weeks holidays! The doctor said I wouldn't be able to play any sports, which leads me onto my next monkey_fact...
2. I used to play badminton for Essex. I was amazing at badminton. Even before I got the strength to hit the shuttle hard enough, I had all the technique and the knowledge to play with people who would have been embarrassed to play with me. However, I lost all the games I used to play for my school, which made people think I was useless. They used plastic shuttles for God's sake!!! Amateurs! Other p****-arsed sports I was good at include hockey and trampolining. I can kick a football quite well.
3. I used to be incredibly timid. When I was at sixth form I would sit in the corner, only talking to a few people, but ever since starting Uni I've been forced to interact more - which is brilliant, because now I've got the confidence in public that I always wanted.
4. I have a weird clothing policy. I only ever wear one pair of jeans, which I wear until they are too dirty to be worn anymore, or are destroyed by the awesome power of my legs. Jeans I bought recently were too long (but nice and baggy) and I wore away the bit that went under my heels.
5. I once wore a pair of boxers for 5 days - without taking them off. It was Glastonbury and I was sharing a tent with someone (you know who you are), so I couldn't sleep naked. Plus I only had one change of boxers, which I wanted to save for the journey home. The offending garments had white bits of mould on them...sorry.

1. I am attracted to women from other countries or speak other languages. Girlfriends have come from USA, Hong Kong, France and one who spoke Welsh. It must be something subliminal but at least it keep things interesting.
