I thought Campbell was every bit as good as Rio today...

How could we ever have doubted them?

The number of under-fire players who were simply excellent was fantastic!

Heskey was up and down the field winning balls and feeding other players. I believe Heskey is one of the greatest players England have. Sven knows it, and I think after that, we should all recognise it.

Mills played a blinder, Cole was a bit rash at times but did his job well.

As for Sinclair, he was tremendous. It was a shame that Hargreaves had to go but with a performance like that from Sinclair, he deserves a lot of praise.

I usually don't like it when teams win just by a penalty but this is just as good as Germany - England last year.

Come on Nigeria, give us a challenge!

The challenge he got booked for was no worse than any number of Batistuta's and several other Argies.

Give the boy some goddam credit for christs sake.

Cole did play magnificently, especially the first 10 minutes, where Ortega repeatedly tried to get past him, but ran into a consistently impenetrable wall we know as Ashley Cole.

I'd have Butt as my man of the match though, he was absolutely essential.

he wass a bit wild at times but i didn't think he was as good as he has been in past games. did well to keep ortega back but was booked.
