I thought i would start a thread about pefect dark as this had to be the best game on the n64 and will be on the gamecube as well. So in here talk about anything to do with perfect dark.

Ive got a few questions for starters.

Has a perfect dark for the gamecube actually been confirmed by rare?

also what would you like to see in perfect dark on the gamecube if there is going to be one?

I would like to see the ability to jump. I believe this would be good as you would be able dodge more and create great air combat.

It'd be good if, when a guard threw an N-Bomb or a Grenade at you, you could kick it back.

And maybe having a third function for some of the weapons, seeing as PD on the N64 had two.

Keyboard and mouse FPS is excellent, mind you so is the solitare control style in goldeneye.

Japanese voice : YOU ARE A WRONGER!

Rare are currently nintendo only. At the moment they are a 2nd party, which means Nintendo owns some of them and they own some of Nintendo. I don't know what contract they've got but Perfect Dark is a CUBE ONLY game.

Although I haven't played an FPS on gamecube yet, I can imagine the controller being fiddly...too much analog, not enough digital

I have to agree with you on something, FPS are really hard to controller with the Play Stations controller. The N64's controller is probably best for FPS, everthing is easily accesible and the Z trigger is great.

I prefer Keyboard and mouse i swear by it when playing quake 3 arena.

I tried to play the PS2 version once and couldn't play it for 2 seconds with out dieing joypads are just too fiddly. Max payne suffers the same faite on PS2, on PC it is flawless in the control department but on the PS2 it is just too dificult

I like controller as all the buttons are easily acceable and the controller in is your hands where as a keyboard you are over it, you dont not have hold of it and with a keybeoard you use lots of fingers at the same time and the buttons are so close so you would end up pressing the wrong key a lot.

I cant really get my point accross in words but I know what I mean.

mmmm..it would be a lot cheaper to fill an internet gaming cafe with Gamecube's, PS2's and X-boxes than it would high performance Pc's..

Ah! But not if you were playing it on-line against other players! ;D

Maybe if this goes well, then GameCubes and the other next-gen. consoles will one-day be appearing in Internet Cafes and LAN Arenas???

But thinking about it, PDZero would look pretty funny if you were having a four-player with everyone on Keyboard and Mouse :D
