They charge £30 for memory cards because theirs are 8 MegaBYTES and the nintendo ones are 4 MegaBITS! There is a big difference, and unlike what Nintendo would want you to believe, nintendo memory cards have much less than half the PS2's storage space. So, when you think about it, the cards are a rip off. At this comparison, the sony cards are very good value.
The bigger card is definately a good idea!
I have 2 memory card, 1 official, I got for £8 and an unofficial that I got free from SR with 5 Reddies.

Yeah everyone would specially when you think the Ps2 8megs ones are £25 and the cubes are 4megs(51slot)
