"What PS2 Games To Get?"

Right, as you lot are the foremost authority on what's hot and what's not on the PS2 scene, please offer me a helping hand in what game to get and what games to avoid like the plague. I'm getting my parents/girlfriend/anyone with cash to buy a PS2 for my birthday (August 4th - please, all take note, so Ferraris can be delivered on the correct day ;D), and I'm trying to get a collection of games before I get the console, so that I have a decent collection. Here's what I'm planning on getting so far from EBay. I'm not spending any more than £14.99 per game off of EBay:

Legends of Wrestling - £3.20 (3 days, 21 hrs left)
Shadow of Memories - £4.00 (5 days, 9 hrs left)
Metal Gear Solid 2 - £6.00 (2 days, 7hrs left)
Smackdown 3: Just Bring It - £12.00 (9 hrs, 13 mins left)

Action Replay Equaliser Extreme Cheat Cartridge - £3.20 (3 hrs, 35 mins left)

Of course, I am currently searching for a few other games like GTA3 also, but I want to know the following:

a) Is Shadow of Memories as good as they say?
b) What other games do you STRONGLY recommend?

Thanks Pro Evo, I've found a few Jak and Daxter's, but they have a few days left. And Hercules, waiting is the key with internet auctions - wait until the last five minutes, and THEN bid. You can bid before me if you want. In fact, I insist ;D

Just buy them all before I do......

Shadow of Memories has a great storyline that twists and turns more than a roller coaster, but for me thats all it had, there wasnt anything else to do in it other than walk around and solve puzzles. It had a great story and everything, and the graphics were ace too, it just wasnt all that fun to play after a while.

Other good games to get are the likes of Pro Evo, GTA3, GT3 is good too.

You will want MGS2 just to have a go on it, thats an excellent game, as is FF10 if you can get that.

Jak and Daxter and Devil May Cry are well worth a look also.
