Right, as you lot are the foremost authority on what's hot and what's not on the PS2 scene, please offer me a helping hand in what game to get and what games to avoid like the plague. I'm getting my parents/girlfriend/anyone with cash to buy a PS2 for my birthday (August 4th - please, all take note, so Ferraris can be delivered on the correct day ;D), and I'm trying to get a collection of games before I get the console, so that I have a decent collection. Here's what I'm planning on getting so far from EBay. I'm not spending any more than £14.99 per game off of EBay:

Legends of Wrestling - £3.20 (3 days, 21 hrs left)
Shadow of Memories - £4.00 (5 days, 9 hrs left)
Metal Gear Solid 2 - £6.00 (2 days, 7hrs left)
Smackdown 3: Just Bring It - £12.00 (9 hrs, 13 mins left)

Action Replay Equaliser Extreme Cheat Cartridge - £3.20 (3 hrs, 35 mins left)

Of course, I am currently searching for a few other games like GTA3 also, but I want to know the following:

a) Is Shadow of Memories as good as they say?
b) What other games do you STRONGLY recommend?

Thanks in advance,
LF

I picked up Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge for £14.97, well worth the price. I got it from asda as well, which isn't a place I'd expect to find a deal like this.

They also had, for the same price Silent Scope and Project Eden, the only other games which looked appealing, the rest where games I'd never heard of before.

I would strongly recommend fur fighters, its a good, not too serious action game, that'll last quite a bit as well. Certainly worth a measly £15.00.

Shadow of Memories is OK, but its a bit non-interactive if you know what I mean.

If you want a really good game, you can't go wrong with Final Fantasy 10. Now THAT is classic.

I found it to be one of the most involving and enjoyable games around, but it's not for everyone.

I've got Smackdown: Just Bring it for £15.50, but I need to know: is The Bouncer worth £10.50? Quickly, the auction ends in half an hour! Thanks.

On eBay, the only good games that usually stay below £15 are:

Onimusha (normally around £12)
Red Faction (£8 or £9)
Burnout (£14)
SSX (£10)
Dynasty Warriors 2 (£9)

Games like GTA3 normally end in the £20 region which is pretty good. I got MGS2 for £20 and Silent Hill 2 and a Official Guide Book for £19.

I scrapped the cartridge, because it's only £6 new, and here's my new list:

Legends of Wrestling - £3.20 (3 days, 21 hrs left)
Shadow of Memories - £4.00 (5 days, 9 hrs left)
GTA3 - £14.00 (1 hr, 30 mins left)
Smackdown 3: Just Bring It - £11.00 (2 hrs, 1 min left)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - £15.00 (4 hrs, 11 mins left)

I also saw State of Emergency on there, and I need to know if it's worth £14.50. Also, are the following any good?

Timesplitters, Tekken Tag Tourney?

Heh, only by about 20p, in regards to the Action Replay Cartridge, which ends in 10 minutes and 12 seconds.

I've just got back from this guy's house, he was selling a PC with 3.2GB, 64MB Ram for £100 - bargain! Now my sister has something to use, so I have even more 'puter time now ;D
