Well, it wasn't the way many of us expected this match to turn out like. We thought France would win 4 or 5 - 0, but no, it didn't happen like that.

In case you didn't see the goal, it was Fabien Barthez (who else) that made a mistake.

He fumbled the ball and it fell right to a Senegal player in front of an open goal.

We were watching it in school on T.Vs in class but it was that boring I would rather have done the work set instead. The Senegal keeper Syla(sp?) played brilliantly and the goal was the fault of Barthez as he prevented it going out of play.

I think they'd have a better chance if they put the manager in goal, frankly.

I don't think it was barthez's fault i think the ball just hit his leg and rebounded to the senegal player

I think this is a sign of things to come. Underdogs like senegal and Ecuador may seem utter crap, but countries like England and France aren't used to the hot climate whereas Senegal and ecuador are, meaning they are actually more likely to win.
