OK, as mentioned in the WLT, here is my quick 20 question general quiz!

Once you finish the quiz, send us an email with your answers to [email protected] and I'll update this post as soon as I can :)

No googling of course :P

OK, well, good luck and enjoy!

1) In the English language, name the longest word that contains no vowels?

2) In literature, name the author of the novel "War of the Worlds"?

3) In maths, what is 30 divided by a third?

4) In football, if you were watching "the old firm game" who would be playing?

5) In music, who sang the song "Owner Of A Lonely Heart"?

6) In politics, who was the previous Chancellor of the Exchequer?

7) In geography, what is the average circumference of the Earth?

8) In astronomy, what is the name of the furthest planet in our Solar System?

9) In chemistry, what is the name of the lightest element in the Universe?

10) In film, what car does James Bond drive in "Tomorrow Never Dies"?

11) (Perhaps a naughty one) What was the name of the company that went into liquidation, and that Freeola kindly gave shelter to some of it's die hard forum members?

12) In History, what year did Joseph Stalin die?

13) In what religion is Ganesh worshiped?

14) In maths, what is 2+2*2?

15) In art, what artist painted "Bridge over a Pool of Water Lilies"?

16) In geography, what is Earth's second highest mountain?

17) In the film "The Godfather" what was the full name of Al Pacino's character?

18) In science, what is the coldest temperature possible?

19) In geography, what is the 3rd biggest lake?

20) In astronomy, what is the name of the nearest star to Earth?

Congrats, you reached the end! :)

Oh, and one last thing, would you mind if you didn't post any answers up here until we get a decent leaderboard going :P To enforce this rule, I'll let power corrupt and edit all your posts ^^

Cheers guys.

Hey hey, sorry I've been away for the past couple of days, I somehow managed to remove my computers ability to display graphics or colour of any sort ^^

Anyway, I'll just check my e-mail, and I'll put the answers up this Friday, so sit tight :)

That would be awesome :) Count me in for another.

I was thinking you could probably do a picture round - that would certainly rule out cheating!

I was thinking of doing a Game quiz in the games forum, but struggling to find a balance of questions. But won't I compete threads with this one yet :p

I have to wait another month to beat her?
I hope there are plenty of music and non sci-fi questions. She'll be stuck as she knows nothing about music or good tv.
