All the little Sega fans who trapse over here to attack the PS2, are over there trying to convince themselves that the PS2 is rubbish. They are listing all the games (past & future) that are going to challenge the PS2. Aw........bless them.
But seriously, they are just as dedicated to their machine as we are to the PS2, so i for one am going to cut them a little slack from now on.
I am interested in knowing a bit more about the Dreamcast, (never having played one) and whether it is as good as the PS2. Has anyone here owned/played one?
>the old argument that the PS2 is hard to programme for

Trust me, it's a long term problem, not a short term one!
There may be plenty games released now but many developers may gradually decide that it's easier to support an easier to develop for console instead.
(NOT WILL HAPPEN, MAY HAPPEN!)
If TTT was the first ever Tekken it would b held as easily the best Beat 'em' up on the PS2
Think of the games that came out with the first playstation. Tekken, wipeout, toshinden etc. ow compare them with the latest gaems out on the playstation. The improvements made in the games over the five years of it's existence is amazing. Just imagine what the PS2 will be like in that time.
The problem I have with other consoles like the Gamecube and the dreamcast is the arguement against the PS2 DVD player.
Nintendo themselves have said, "The gamecube is a dedicated games machine. It does not play DVD". Ok, so I can buy a console which plays games, or a console which plays games AND DVD movies? tough choice!
Sega have realised this and are now bundling a DVD player with the console for £300. The DVD player on its own costs £220. Does that mean the Dreamcast is only worth £80?
:-)
