Are any of you able to still use Freeola's E-mail system, or FTP to any other Site you may have??

I can't seem to FTP to freeserve anymore, or Send my E-mails from Any account, be it Freeola, Freeserve.

Any settings you know of that I need to change?????

Right, what are the settings your trying to use for your pipex e-mail? If you could tell me your username for your connection, the servers your using, and your username for the e-mail I'll check them agaisnt what I'm using, as my e-mail works ok.

For the E-mail problem:

Alter your E-mail settings in MSOE so that the POP3 server is "mail.freeola.net" and your SMTP server is "smtp.dsl.pipex.com".

Er, assuming you're on Pipex DSL...

I know they will, but the hell with it I say, if it means I can use my Freeola Web Space, E-mail and Browsing in one and ditch the Modem, then I think its worth it for me :o)

FOG, I've E-mailed Freeserve, but have not had a reply yet, lol. E-mailed Pipex to, still awating a reply. So thought I'd come here quickly to see if this was a comon problem with a quick fix :o)

I think if you ditch Pipex before your 12 month contract is up they'll charge you £50+VAT :(

doh, I should have read the whole thread, sorry, Freeserve ASDL?
With POP3 I often get a problem with BY where it seems their servers are down and I can't recieve email for a day or so, maybe it's just that, have you phoned Freeserver to see what they advise?

Thats what I do :o)

But I'm more interested in why Freeserve don't work on ADSL.

Oh well, I've decided that when Freeola role out ADSL, I'm moving to them :o) makes my life easier.

You should be able to use Freeola with anything, all you need to do is keep your dial-up modem plugged into it's connection, you won't need a ISP as you'll be using Freeola, and just disconnect your Pipex and use your dial-up, well, it should work in theory, i've not tried it.
