Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

Makes little difference, we've probably forgotten all that we've discussed anyway. ;-)

I won a copy as a GAD, and it arrived on Monday. Almost as good as I expected but not quite a revelation. Worth buying just to listen to the radio stations though. 'Chatterbox' cracks me up.

The sequel to my favourite game of all time. I'm desperately trying to win another GAD to get it with, otherwise I might have to *gasp* buy it.

You need 300 posts and 10,000 words to become a regular, your current stats are 20 posts, 828 words, so you a have a long way to go yet. Being a regular isn't anything special though, you can still be a respected individual as a newbie. But if you really want to make your name go purple then just talk a lot in all the threads, and especially the longest threads, you'll soon reach 300 posts.

My sentiments precisely, the monsters shatter your perception of realism.

Greetings, I thought I would add my contribution to the longest thread.

I attempted to read what has been mentioned already but found after the 8th page of some quality reading I wanted to add my own bit, if I am mentioning anything already mentioned, my apologies.

GTA3, has this been spoken about, bid and won a copy from auction so I am waiting for it to arrive now.
UT3, am going to have a fragfest with some mates next weekend kicking off on friday, all day Sat finishing Sun. Can't wait :-}

Why am I still classed as a newbie? When do I become a regular?

Am I the only one that thought Return to Wolf got a bit silly once the big monster blokes starting coming, thank got for MOH.AA

Be honest with me I can take it.LOL LOL

Just reinstalled operation flashpoint, a fecking great game it is aswell. 'The' best wargame on any system, just as addictive and fun as it was when I first played it.

I think I'll try out the mission editor soon, see if I can figure how the bloody thing works, I got loads of cool vehicles downloaded and I want to try them out.

Same here, I only once upgraded my last PC. Now though, I've actually found it fun upgrading my computer, I've already fitted a new 3D card and some extra RAM. I'm also considering fitting a few extra fans to keep my PC cooled sinse it's on all day.

That's what I love about PC's, you can upgrade them to whatever specification you want, and to think most console gamers see this as a bad point in PC's.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to fitting that new motherboard, even though it's going to be bloody hard. Still, it should keep my computer running for another year or two yet.

I just love fiddling about with innards of my pc, even though I haven't a clue what I'm doing most of the time. My PC has gone seriously wrong about three times, and two of those times I fixed it by merely popping the lid off and bashing about the inside for a bit. Unplugging things, plugging them up again, where does this bit go? I'm sure that shouldn't be melting, Hmmm, now which one is my sound card. Luvvly stuff!!

Well I am planning a big upgrade sometime in the next year or so. I'll be replacing the whole motherboard, and getting a brand new proccessor along with a new 3D card, plenty of RAM and a second HD.

It's going to be a big job, and fitting that motherboard isn't going to be easy, but it will save me spending a thousand quid on a new computer in a year or two.

Looks like you need to enter a few of the PC Gamer competitions to win a new PC. Alternatively, sending in a decent letter will win you a stonking graphics card.

Good set-up, It should be able to handle UT2. I a fan of the origanal UT, I had many good games on it, certainly on of the best multiplayer games of recent time, hopefully the sequel will surpass it. I'm going to have to minimise the quality to play it on my PC though, still it is the gameplay I'm interesated in and not the graphics. Although the game does look stunning.

With 1.4 Ghz Athlon, 512 RAM and a geforce 2 I can afford to be fairly expansive. :p

I am attached to UT because it is my current favourite game. I play it nearly every day with my brother, it's just amazing. I really hope UT2 lives up to expectations.

That is a tough choice. They are both good games, and although I haven't played Unreal tournament 2003 yet, I think it will be just as fun as the original. I would say go for SOF2 if you win, UT2 is going to be a system hog, and it might be a good idea to wait for the demo first and see how well it runs on your PC.
