I own both Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament.
I deleted Quake 3 after 2 months of playing, whereas I still play Unreal Tournament almost every other day. It's a beaut!!

Yes, i know... they are great. Sometimes to great. It makes you wanna say "How did you do that?" But you gotto keep on trying... But then again... If ya don't... ... The Game i think is up for £15 anyway.
I found that too.. I tried playing Quake 3 and Counterstrike a few times on the net, only to be killed before the light from my monitor could actually reach my eye. Seriously, some people play these games far too much. I'm simply not willing to put in the long hours required in order to just be a challenge to one of them who's playing one handed.
Quake 3 was ok I thought. Never was a great FPS fan though, due to the impossibly high quality of opposition one would face on a multiplayer Quake server.
I've never played Quake 3, though I don't really like those types of multiplayer games. I liked UT though, but I couldn't play it for more than an hour. Now one multiplayer game I'm really looking forward to getting is return to castle wolfenstein, played a demo of it and is bloody excellent. I'd buy the full game just for that.
