Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

You usually can, actually. Most "bundles" can be bargained with. At the end of the day, every store has sales targets, and the £210 you're going to spend goes toward it. If you say "oh, I want to buy this, but I want this game instead of this one", you can usually get it your way.

That's what I did with mine. Got Rogue Leader instead of some crappy game which I forget the name of.

I have enough money to buy an X-Box if I wanted to, and the deal they're offering certainly does look appealing. Trouble is though, besides the fact that I can get most games from the X-Box on other systems, I just wouldn't have the time to play all the games I'd have. I barely have enough time as it is with two consoles and a PC.

I suppose everything boils down to money. If I was rich I would buy every console that came out as well as keeping my PC spec soaring. But being a lowly student forces me to conserve what little cash I have. I really am thankful to SR for GADly goodness in giving away free games.

I doubt I'll be in the top 30 winners any time soon though, I'll need to double my current score at least. Unless you take my aliases into account, RM18 and pb. Quite a hefty total all in all. ;-)

I bought my PS2 at a stupid time, about a year before any of the other consoles where released, which meant there where no price cuts. The console cost £400 and with it I got 2 joypads, 2 games of my choice and a DVD of my choice. I thought it was a good package, and I still think its money well spent.

Trouble is when it cam to buying my GC, I spent nearly half the amount that I spent on my PS2. For £210 I got 2 joypads, 1 official Memory card and 2 games which I couldn't choose, but where exactly the ones I was looking for. I was a bit annoyed at how much I managed to save by waiting, but what the hell, I enjoy playing on both my consoles allot so it was worth the money.

And congrats on the GAD, you've got up to 8 now I see, you'll be in the top 30 GAD winners list soon. Anyway I'd say go for NOLF 2 (well of course I'd say that right?) or Age of Mythology. Actually I'd say go for the latter game, because I played a demo of it a few weeks back and it was awesome. A big improvement over the Age of Empire series, and one game I'll be getting sometime after Christmas. It'll last you anyway.

Oh for a PS2!!
If I wanted to get one I should have got it when it came out so I could have maximum usage of it before it became outdated. But now I am stuck ikn indecision.....shall I.....shan't I......Ah, I hate hard decisions.

Oh yes, I've just won a GAD 1. I think I'll claim FIFA 2003, NOLF 2, or Age of Mythology. Gah, yet more decisions. :-)

Yep, the Getaway is on the PS2, and from the demo I've played I think could be much better than the GTA series. It's not often you get to play a game set in a real British city with real British cars, and you actually drive on the left hand side of the road for once. Sorted.

I was probably asking for a little too much when I bought a GC, especially with a PS2 and PC to play games on, but I don't regret buying it. It's a nice little console with some great games.

Ya, noticed that, never realised you had a GC, but well done anyway. Let us know what Getaway is like will you, on the PS2 I take it?

One of these days I just might do that.

Problem is I get part way thru' some games and then just get bored, particularly if i get stuck. I know there are cheats but that's like ......
Cheating!

On top of that a lot of the games I play are fairly old and so arn't what some may consider to be review material really.

Still with this win and all I should be getting up to date with some newer stuff so I'll have no excuse.

Incidentally, we have page 1 as the oldest and page 30 as the newest! Unless of course we take the option to put the newest last and oldest first. In which case page 1 would be 30 and page 30 would be 1 if you get my drift.

Then again..... ah! forget it. look just above the posts, theres a link to change things how you will!
