Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

Well it didn't take as long as I though it would, which is good. Windows XP is allot easier and frindlier to navigate through than Win98, although it does take som gwetting used to thanks to it being set up a bit differently from previous Windows OS.

So far, so good, every program I've put on works fine, and everything on a whole runs allot smother.

As for my old PC, well I'm thinking about giving it to my dad as I don't really have a use for it anymore. My sister said she'd have, but seeing as I only bought a base unit that'll be out of the qestion.

I some times think that that's half the fun. More importantly you get a fresh start so you don't make any of the mistakes you made the first time round. Presumably you are keeping your old comp anyway (?) so it should simply be a case of transferring them anyway, can you network the two comps to transfer the good bits, wipe your old comp & set it up again?

My eldest daughter has already decided that when I upgrade she's having this computer in her bedroom..... well we'll see! (God I sound like my Dad!)

The PCs going fine so far, I've installed a few games and demo's and they work great on my new machine. Now I've got the task of re-installing and those darned utilities and programs that I had on my old PC, which is a bit long and boring, but it'll help in the long run.

It does indeed feel like christmas again, as it always does when I get a new PC. This is my third one by the way, the last one did last much longer than the first, but it's just starting to loose it a bit now.

I was planning to build my next computer rather than buying a pre-built one, but it would have taken time to build it up, plus I still don't think I have enough experience to build my own computer yet. Something to look into though when it comes to my next PC replacement which is a long way off now.

I'll still pop in now and again, just probably not as much as I normally do. I'm off to wrok now anyway, I've got allot to do tommorrow with me new computer, so this may be my last message here for a couple of days.

I'll be back though :-)

Any of you guys know what it takes to be a "regular" around here? I merely ask as I appear to be approaching the 10,000 word mark. Should I celebrate or simply keep writing?

Ah! The joys of new computer ownership. You're like a kid with a new toy!
sadly I won't be updating mine any time now. Will have to stick with what I've got for a couple more years, but when I do it will be top notch. I'm not going to make do with second best (I say this, my computer ain't bad but having just got a new one at work that is so much faster well...)but will be looking into putting a package together myself so I make sure I get what I want rather than what the Computer shop man thinks I might want.

No doubt won't hear from you for a while as you transfer all your games onto new computer and try them out for effect.

Oh yes, it's here, and a very happy man. It's not long before I have to go to work though so I probably won't be able to try it yet, guess I'll have to wait until tommorrow.
