I'll tell you about my day to keep the thread alive.
Well, my microphone came this morning. Now, it turns out that I didn't do my research properly and they actually use a connection called an XLR, instead of a 1/4" which I had assumed. So, the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter and the 1/8" mono to 1/8" stereo weren't of much use. But wait! I booted up the maplins website and found an XLR to 1/4" adapter. So I went into Solihull and bought one from the shop.
Anyway, I get home and stick it in my amp just to test it. It's really weird when you talk and your voice comes at you from the front. It's very quiet though, for some reason. But I have it plugged into my computer via the mic socket and I have the gain boost on so it's nice and loud now.
That was just the morning though... in the afternoon I cut up a block of wood.
