i was packing away my trusty N64, untill the july/ mayfair, dismantling it in basic proportion, whan i noticed there was a gray slot under it. what is this for, is this the intenet connection thing i heard? then why is it placed were it is?

That's a load of rubbish, originally Sony where making a CD based console doodar for Nintendo then they had a falling out and Sony ended up making the Playstation.
The expansion slot is actually for the 64dd an add on for the N64 to enable you to go on the internet it also had addons for games like F-Zero but it was never released outside Japan. It flopped in Japan anyway so it's no big whoop.

Yep, only ever for the 64DD which came out in Japan.
From what I heard Nintendo got cold feet about producing a CD based console with Sony. (failure of things like the add ons for the Mega-drive)

it started the SNES but what you doing packing the 64 away anyway boss_pac man it stil worth keeping out. every now and again me a my NES have a good few hours even though ROB the robot gett ANOYING yes i have THE fable matel version NES and no it not for sale!! i have the orinal box as well haa!!
