I thought it was becoming more civilised and interesting, actually.
This topic is giving me a sore head, stop going round in circles you people!
Its not a case of having a go at Her becuase you can't get through to fanboys/girls and I wouldn't waste my time doing so all I am doing is pointing out all of her faults in the hope that she will just go away and leave us alone. Most of the time I just laugh off her replies becuase they are so hard to read and they make the least amount of sense than anyone who I have seen post on here or met in my life!
Anyway that aside, I was thinking about getting a GameCube for Resident Evil, but I have read some poor reviews that leave me in a mixed up situation. There aren't many games that I would like for the GameCube (besides Perfect Dark: Zero and Mario Kart) but having completed all previous Resident Evils I would like to finish this one off! I would have enough money to get one for my birthday and still get the Xbox games that I want so bewtween now and October I need to make up my mind!

I agree with you having a go at Rinoa again, but I disagree with some of the games mentioned on your list.
Resident Evil - Is going to have extras and exclusive secrets so it isn't a straight port. But I agree, it's been done before and it isn't original.
Mario - Well, every single Mario game I've played has been completely different, and therefore, original. You can't say Mission Impossible 2 was unoriginal because they both had Ethan Hunt in.
Star Wars - Same principle. It may be a sequel but it's a totally different game. Though some of the levels may just be revamped versions, they play differently and add to the new playing experience. Original in my books.
Fifa 2002 - Multi-format (so it isn't a port), and football games keep getting more up to date. It isn't exactly original, but it has been done before.
Spider Man - Multi-format, and I wouldn't call it original (it's based on the movie) but even though spiderman games have been done before, this one's completely different.
Crazi Taxi 2 - It's going to be multi-format when it comes out, but it follows the same formula and isn't original.
Die Hard - I'd say this was completely original. Not based on the movie and a new game in every way.
Batman - I don't think this is a port, but original or not, it's a bad game.
ISS 2 - Same with FIFA 2002.
As for everything else, I completely agree with you - they're 100% ports. And well done for giving Rinoa a piece of your mind.

YOU are a fanboy. You cannot accept other opinions about consoles other to the one you own and prefer. Don't deny it any longer, I've seen the kinds of things you post and it is Grade A fanboy material.
I didn't want to say that just in-case anyone started an argument with me, but I agree 100% with Edgy. Max Payne although a 3rd person shooter is one of the most original games I have ever played not to mention one of the greatest. Project Gotham Racing uses the MSR functions from the Dreamcast game to bring a whole new life to racing games with the Kudos point system. Dead Or Alive 3 although a sequel to Dead Or Alive 2 invloves multiple fighting areas for the same level. Walls can be broken, glass can be smashed and boulders can be knocked down, on top of that the defense system has also been re-modelled so that counters play the biggest part in the game, a very original game!
I am sure that Mario Sunshine will include a whole new gaming system but the fact of the matter was, *EVERY* console has its original titles but MR. and MRS. Potato head can't see it!
The funny thing was, he was telling us to stop at the GameCube but he was happily ranting about the Xbox when it was his illiterate wife that started it! How ironic.

I don't agree with what Rinoa has said in general, but I also disagree with this stuff about originality. Sure, some of those game names have been done and used before. But a port can still be original. Just because it's been done on another console, a port doesn't make it less original. Neither does the name of the game. Sure, Mario's been in tonnes of games but would you say Mario 64 wasn't original because mario was in Super Mario World? Sure, some of those games are just updates of older games such as Fifa and ISS, whereas other games do have more original content (despite some being ports) like Super Mario Sunshine and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

Which costs! Why upgrade your modem on the Xbox, it can handle any line speed and with an Ethernet port it doesn't have to go via your computer. I am not slagging the GameCube off, but what makes you think you have the right to put the Xbox down? After all it is a *XBOX FORUM* so who do you think you are slagging the Xbox off and then telling us to stop slagging the GameCube when it was your wife that started it!
