Hello again. Just a formal warning, the next Notable Election will take place on Wednesday May 22nd, three months on from the last one. Start your official campaigns now! A proper thread will be started on the Wednesday morning, do NOT cast your votes now. This time round, newbies will be allowed to vote, and as a special Big Brother-esque twist, every vote from another Notable is worth TWO votes. The two users with the most votes after a full day's voting will become gold and stuff. Ooh, exciting!

Well SR say :One new "Notable" is elected every three months, in respect of their contribution to making the Future of
Gaming forum (in the Open Forums) a very special place.

So if you look at all the notables they have an ability to entertain everyone, or most with what they write, either funny, interesting or just good posts. Thats what we should be looking for, not voting friends, voting someone who will vote for you etc.
They are gold for a reason.

Stupid question maybe... but is that two votes for one person... or a vote for two different people?

And what do you constitute as 'extra special'?

Use your vote wisely members. Remember the notable has to be someone who contributes something *extra special* to the forums.

I think this was a bit of a mistake, snuggly. If you'd said newbies could vote ON the day then it would be alright, coz people can't become a newbie straight away. Chaos, all right!

I'll agree more with this, if you all vote for Egg.

P.S. Can staff vote? If so, how much would that be worth?

That's democracy for you...one persons vote is worth two to everyone elses one. Don't tell me, we're all equal, but some are more equal than others.
But if any notable votes for me, then the system has worked.

Jeebus, it's gonna be choas! Notables with twp votes and newbies the ability to vote too! Oh, but JATs can't vote right? That'd be stupid, or people could just get new accounts and vote for themselves...

Well, it'll be interesting to see who comes out on top to say the least.
