I think the remake of resident evil looks really great, all the characters are more detailed and even the backgrounds look way better than the ps-one version, i mean just take a look how good the zombies, hunters etc look, i have looked at the recent screenshots and movies and they are jaw-dropping, i can't wait to play on it.

Anway give us your thoughts what do you think? Is it any good or do you think capcom are just out to make more money...

This game looks amazing!

What will make it very cool is if they have the attachements for guns like on resident evil 2. The shotgun attachment made this gun devastating

This may sound stupid but i hope the spiders don't make much of an appearence as they are the only part of resident evil games i hate and actually make me jump (The only part of the games to actually do this). I HATE SPIDERS!!!!!!!!

Think of all the other first generation titles - Rogue Leader 2! GOD! How would that look! The GC has already shown off superb visuals, and for a 'toy' this is superb, as most ignorant people think the PS2 and XBOx are both more powerful - rubbish.



Anyway, i'll probably get ED, as its more my type of game, an still looks stunning, although not quite as good!

The only one I've played was Code Veronica on the Dreamcast and it rocked so i'll probably get all six resi games coming to the cube. But the controls are awful, I don't understand why up is alwasy forwards and the others just turn you on the spot, it makes much more sense to just walk in the direction you press and use the c-stick to aim. That way you can still walk backwards away from an enemy and fire.

I think its being released in mid September...

The sooner Action replay comes out the better. Still pencilled in for a Summer 2002 release so probably be able to get an import copy of Resi working on your PAL cube before PAL resi is released.

When is the release for the Pal version of Resi???
I read that the turning around thingy has been sorted but its not the default control system, so if u fiddle around with the control option ull find a should button operated turing system...

There end of worries ..

Have they really stuck to the control system from the original game, then?

In the later games on PSone they 'borrowed' from Mikami's other blockbuster game, Dino Crisis, and you could press a shoulder button to do a 180-degree spin and run away. It'll be a shame if they haven't included that feature.

GameCube Res Evil is quite simply the best looking video game I have ever played – period. Just wait until you play it, it really is ground breaking.

The story and layout of the mansion has also been changed quite a bit, and there are new sections added. My mate has just made it to the section set outside the mansion and this is pretty much all new.

A truly great, great game. And I must say, I’m not even a big Resi fan to be honest.

After all that improved eye candy, i still think they could have improved the control system as it still retains the old "rotate and walk".
no pulling back on the stick to go backwards, u still have to physicaly turn the little begger round b4 u can peg it.

Hmmmmm
But im sure it wont effect the gameplay.
