And listen, if you created an operating system designed for games, you wouldn't put it on a pc, it would go onto a console. Nothing new.

3D cards are made so the manufactures can show off their new graphics capability. Games developers also use 3D cards to get the best out of their games. I hope you're not saying windows was made just to support 3D cards, windows was made to make navigating through software (not game software by the way) easier. like IB said, It wasn't made for games.
