Not wanting to start a "mine console is better than yours" argument, but I was just looking through the latest Special Reserve mag, when I noticed a strange trend amongst the Xbox games: a high percentage are conversions from the PC or PS2! (I know that the GC has a certain amount of conversions like Burnout, Crazy Taxi, Sonic 2, but the Xbox has loads!!)

Badlurs Gate: Dark Alliance
Burnout
Champ Manager 01/02
Commandos 2
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex
Dark Summit
David Beckham Soccer
F1 2002
Gauntlet Dark Legacy
Onimusha
Grand Prix 4
Giants
GTA3
Legends of Wrestling
Soul Reaver 2
Max Payne
Allied Assault
Loads of NFL, NBA, NHL titles
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Silent Hill 2
Simpsons Road Rage
SSX Tricky
Spy Hunter
Tony Hawks 3
Jedi Starfighter
Unreal Championship
And Deus Ex 2 is coming soon (yet another PC conversion)
Colin Mcrae 3
Metal Gear Solid 2??
etc etc

Plus loads of tired sequals or multi platform releases like Spider-Man the Movie, Galleon, Cel Damage, Mike Tyson Boxing, TOCA Race Driver, FIFA, Dave Mirra etc.

Where are all the killer Xbox exclusives like Halo, Dead or Alive(sequal), JSR Future(sequal), Project Gotham(remake/sequal), Oddworld(sequal)?

Gamers want original titles, not a load of conversions don't they?

Who ever said the Xbox was a PC disguised as a console?;)

Blatently never played the game then.

All A does is make Luigi call out for Mario.

Sucking up ghosts involves the combination of the C-stick and and the right shoulder button.

But that's exactly WHY I bought an Xbox.

I can play the majority of games that you'll get on PS2, as well as a load of PC style games all on ONE MACHINE.

Why own a PC and a PS2 when an XBox will sort you out completely? (Unless you need a PC for work/college purposes, obviously).

And I suppose the GameCube is just bursting at the seams with original exclusives?

What is wrong with quality sequels anyway? JRSF is superb and I can't wait for Crazy Taxi 3 and Shenmue III.
And on the subject of PC games - the XBOX is getting the pick of the crop as far as I can see.

But still I like the GameCube, and I plan on getting one when my bank account is healthier.

Now, I'm not an X-Box fan, the PS2 is the only console for me at the mo.

But please, give me an original concept which Microsoft can use for their console.

Luigi's Mansion was supposed to be original. If original means going through a whole game just pressing "A", then I think I'd prefer to stick with the current genres myself.

Even Super Monkey Ball isn't original. It's just a lot of different games put into one, with a load of monkeys.

Add to that list the inevitable Age of Empires, Microsoft Train Simulator & Flight Simulator, Half-Life etc.....

*And sorry for my poor spelling of 'sequel' as 'sequal', at least after doing this topic I will know how to spell it properly!*

Well theres your proof that the X-Box is indeed rubbish if all they can get is conversions then theres no point in it being around.

and

What you said about the killer titles as in Dead or alive (sequels), JSRF (sequels) etc... many of these are sequels and are not killer titles as they are not original concepts.
