Additionally, I'm pretty sure Nintendo take a lot more per game on licencing fees than Sony do.

Yeah... the remake and then release of Ocarina of Time is going to be incredible!!! Also.. Mario Sunshine will be like a GameCube re-release.. I can feel it!

This is indeed true. However, the total profit made from the PS (not just by Sony, but in the whole industry) was about 100 times bigger than that made by the N64.
Looking at Ninty and Sony themselves, Ninty did indeed get far more money. But remember, 2 years ago they made $1billion from pokemon alone, and a loss from everything else put together. It just shows how the one brand can lift the company.
