Sony were set to manufacturer european ps2 chips in their new warehouse... which didn't work.
So, they had to move back to the old warehouse, spending millions getting it running again.
Then they had to send all the consoles by air.
Meaning massive amounts didn't get here in time.
But it is still the biggest profit console ever.

The PS2 launch was a terrible terrible shambles. The GameCube has had the best/most successful european launch of any console -fact.
Anyways, the Sonic.. the 64 made Nintendo more profit than the Playstation did Sony.
Its all in the Bloomberg machine. :D
Are you sure you don't mean PS2.
The Playstation made a bomb. Think of all the game sales and what cut Sony got from them...

Nintendo have made more profit than any gaming company in the past three years - five years - ten years in profit. Pokemon helped them in 98-99 make a 72% increase in profit.
Yes I am sure. Even with the Playstation. Thats why the Nintendo64 was no way near a failure for Nintendo. It made them money. Also interesting to hear that Konami have had serious profit fallings in the past year... Metal Gear Solid2.. although being as big as it was, never made back what the company invested into it.
The profits and finance is where Sega mecked up as well, its very rare that hardware makes profit for that company. The Dreamcast although being an amazing console ran Sega's pockets completely dry and they had to give up on it really. Nintendo have both the GBA and GameCube now. Very strong with both of them.
Starting to waffle now... it says a lot though.
> SO IS SONY YOU MUPPET!
Not as big as Nintendo though you dimwit.
In fact not even as big as RARE... well...

Yeah but who makes more money from there software.. Nintendo or Sony.. I think thats what Dringo was trying to express.
