Gay people are seen as weirdoes etc... but they are human beings. They have feelings, thoughts, dreams, emotions. They cannot help being gay. Many people believe that it is by choice, wrong. It is all to do with their cromosones and they have gathered more from there mother than there father. They do not wake up one morning and think 'i'll be gay from now on'. Some people in this world are very narrow minded, and because there different it gives them the right to question there lives and actions. People like that should be discraced of themselves and should realise that they should look in the mirror and see that there not perfect. I hope that people will take this into deep consideration. Please do not think that being gay is bad just because your friends dont like it or think its sad. Have your personal feelings towards it, and let it be the right ones.

SOME gay people do not admit to it straight away or sometimes ever. I mean look at Elton John, George Michael, Michael Barrymore didn't admit to it for years. Mr. Barrymore even got married and had kids just to cover it up!

I'm not gay but I don't hate them! What's wrong with them?

If you ask someone if they are gay and they say no, they can't be! They would admit it if they were, wouldn't they. Just like a non-homosexual would admit to a gay that he wasn't gay.

Also, I did not say that it was a disorder in birth and I was merly pointing out that a chromosome of the women e.g liking people of the same sex, is collected instead of the one that should attract you to the opposite sex. Once again, Thank you.

If I may 'Justify' my spelling of Chromosomes last night. It had been a very long day and I could hardly see the screen never mind type a sentence in correct form. I hope you can forgive me. (???). Comment to the last message by cookie monster, your view on why gay or lesbian people are of that type is a much disbuted argument and my side and your side of the argument are the for fronts of this. So each explaination is valid until proven different. Thank you.

So are you saying non-disjunction has taken place at the second stage of meiosis? If so, the persons zygote will either be non viable or will develop one of the many genetic diseases, Kleinfelters syndrome, turners syndrome etc...However i think the gay factor is not from chromosomes (note correct spelling, did you really do this at uni?) it is instead related to the volume/concentration of hormone the child is exposed to in the womb. This affects the way the brain works, males and females show very different activity in different regions of the brain, however gay people are in the middle, making them male/female and attracted in a homosexual orientation.

Oh and welcome to the forums.

I have a strong suspicion that someone who studied genetics at university might be able to spell 'cromosones' a little better than you can. It might also be possible for such a person to write in sentences and so on.

Saviola, as I said b4 it is not 'CHOICE' it is cromosones, people believe because that it ain't 'common' its not right. but i every man who was gay admitted it, u would be very suprised that how many say they are, but they are too frightened to say anything because of the hypocrits out there that taunt them in ways that may sicken some.

As Alan Partridge once said,

"God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve"

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion on this subject and I have to agree with Mr. Partridge. They are treated differently because many people (me included) think it's unnatural. In saying that, I won't go around slating people because of who they are and the choices they have made in there life.
