PS2 gets the almighty Final Fantasy X this would be enough against the opposition (until you see it) but along side that there is Downforce, Stuntman and Frogger... very nice.
The good old PS1 gets Metal Slug X.
The Microsoft X-box will be getting MOTO GP: ULTIMATE RACING TECHNOLOGY and David Beckham's soccer.
The Gameboy Advance will have the release of Alex Ferguson's Total Soccer Manager 2002.
The PC has loads of releases and one of them is the only thing that may topple Final Fantasy X in sales, GTA3. Also there will be Cultures 2, Mobile Forces, Monsterville, Schizm and Soccer Manager.
The Nintendo Gamecube will recieve two Nintendo releases the first since launch, one is NBA courtside and the other is the awsome Super Smash Brothers: Melee.
So there will be three massive titles hitting our shelves on May 24th, GTA3 on the PC, Final Fantasy X on the PS2 and Super Smash Brothers: Melee on the Gamecube... Who will be top of the charts is anyones guess but i think it will be out of GTA3 and Final Fantasy X.
Dringo.
The only reason I would ever buy a PS2 is if my dvd player broke, and it was the only replacement i could find anywhere.
The chances of that happening are, mercifully, very slim.
I won't judge the X-Box at this time though, since it's too expensive for me to bother considering right now, and I'll give it 6 months to see how the game titles start collecting.
So far, the winner seems to be the Game Cube. Appealing to most people in the way most people understand it - price. Unless it's competitors drop their prices, they will price themselves out of the market.
Good news ofr anyone who doesn't own a dvd player I would say.
